The concept of reconstruction of the Khvoyka museum
in the village of Khalepʼye, Kyiv region
The project provides for the creation of a flexible exposition, with the possibility of constant replenishment with new exhibits and materials. The design solutions were maximally autonomous from the dilapidated structures of the museum building.
The design used restrained decor from historical ornaments, allusions and stylization under the Tripillian artifacts. Some of the documents are planned to be presented interactively on touch screens and projection screens. In the courtyard of the museum, there were open areas for holding seminars and master classes.

Pre-project analysis of the museum’s potential
Before the start of the work, a situational analysis was carried out that showed the importance of the development of the museum, which, due to its theme and geographical location, can become a cultural, scientific and excursion center for the agglomeration of local history and archaeological museums in the region.
* It is noteworthy how amazing the interweaving of history, mentioning Vikentiy Khvoika, can be remembered about the outstanding Czech archaeologist of Ukrainian origin Ivan Ivanovich Borkovsky, known for the discoveries of the Prague culture of the ancient Slavic tribes of the V-VII centuries and excavations of the Prague Castle.
