3D printing of exhibition model of the 6TD engine
The model is intended for demonstration at exhibitions and presentations. Due to the reduction in weight and transport dimensions relative to the original product, the model has significantly reduced transport and display costs. Significant cost savings, made it possible for the client to order the manufacture of models of the entire engine line.
A virtual 3D model for production, was designed in CAD based on product photos.
The manufacture of the model was carried out using several types of 3D printing, 2x and 3x axial milling on CNC machines, laser cutting.
The entire series of models was repeatedly shown at Ukrainian and largest foreign exhibitions
Scale: 1:3
Materials: acrylic, polystyrene, copper, composite, PVC, metal.
For production we used: 3D printing, 2D and 3D milling.
Production time: 45 days

The 6TD engine is a two-stroke multi-fuel diesel engine with straight-through blowing and horizontally arranged cylinders with oncoming-moving pistons. Power 1000-1500 HP Mounted on the T-80UD, Oplot, BREM tanks
The 3TD engine is a two-stroke multi-fuel diesel engine with horizontally arranged cylinders with counter-moving pistons. Power 280-600 HP Are established on BTR-70, BTR-80, BMP-2, BTR-50, BTR-4
EA-10 tank power unit (auxiliary generator) – serves to provide independent power to the tank equipment.
